Are you single, living in California and looking for love?

Unfortunately, you may want to move out of state to find your partner’s soul. A new study by real estate market company Zillow released on Friday shows which U.S. cities had the highest singles rate for their area. No one from California made the cut.

In 2019, approximately four-tenths or 38% of U.S. adults (ages 25-54) were single, meaning they are neither married nor living with a partner, according to the Pew Research Center. That number increased by 29% in 1990.

With the growing number of singles across the country, Zillow has ranked the top destinations in the country to meet others who are also living singles. Ranked in the top 100 cities based on factors such as single density in an area, available rental listings, and rental affordability for singles.

Based on those factors, Zillow compiled the top 10 list. Wichita, Kansas ranked first on the list, and four of the top 10 cities are in Texas.
