The groundbreaking iCivics program brings CalMatters’ important nonpartisan state news to California classrooms

The partnership between iCivics and CalMatters for midterm election information is believed to keep California’s future voters informed this fall.

CalMatters and iCivics are starting a unique partnership to unlock nonpartisan journalism and election information for California students and teachers.

The program launched today, bringing together teachers across the country to plan lessons that can be adapted to increase knowledge and empower middle and high school students before the fall elections.

“We’re excited to share our nonpartisan journalism with California’s social science teachers,” said CalMatters CEO Neil Chase, “supporting them as they educate new and future California voters about important issues facing our state.”

This new and unique resource provides teachers with the most needed:
